About Me
My name is Barbara Tylka
What can I say about myself? Well… I’m not the loudest person in the room, but I’m far from withdrawn - I listen more than I speak, and when I do, I prefer conversations with depth over small talk. I feel most at home walking barefoot, sipping my morning coffee (black, most days and just one) in my armchair, reading a good book or letting myself get lost in music or nature.
I’m a warm, thoughtful soul with what my friends lovingly call a “stern resting face” - don’t be fooled, I laugh easily and I’m always ready to help. I tend to follow my own path rather than the well-trodden one and I believe the little rituals in life can be as healing as the big ones.

My Story
Like many healers, I didn’t find Ayurveda - it found me, somewhere between exhaustion, pain, and the stubborn belief that life was meant to feel better than this. For over two decades, I juggled digestive issues, IBS, relentless period pain, itchy rosacea, migraines, joint aches, creeping weight gain, and a constant undercurrent of anxiety. My toolkit was stomach salts, painkillers, steroid creams, and sheer willpower. Sleep wasn’t the issue - getting out of bed was.
I pushed through (as so many of us do) until I hit burnout. That was my wake-up call. I started stripping life back to basics - ditching processed foods, rediscovering herbs (those “weeds” with secret superpowers), and slowly feeling like myself again. My rosacea disappeared, my digestion calmed, and the pain eased. I wanted to shout about it from the rooftops… but not everyone wanted to hear it, so I learned to simply live it.
Then life happened again - stressful events knocked my health sideways. My old tricks weren’t enough, so I went deeper, exploring functional medicine. It helped, but I knew I was still missing a piece of the puzzle. That’s when Ayurveda appeared on my radar - and it was like someone switched on the light. Everything about its approach made sense to me: the logic, the connection between body and mind, the way it mirrored both modern science and ancient wisdom.
Working with an Ayurvedic practitioner transformed my health. It wasn’t overnight, but step by step, my energy returned, my mind steadied, and I began to feel better in my forties than I ever had in my twenties.
Now, I help others find that same shift - from just surviving to actually loving the way they feel. I believe in practical, down-to-earth Ayurveda that meets you where you are. No guilt trips. No “perfect lifestyle” pressure. Just simple, powerful changes that work with your body, not against it.
